Gosford City Bowling Club is situated in Gosford, on the Central Coast in NSW, Australia – right alongside Central Coast Stadium, Across the road from our parent Club the Central Coast  Leagues Club. For the complete newcomer to lawn bowls, looking for a sporting activity that promises much in fun and enjoyment with a competitive element, then the friendly, welcoming atmosphere of Gosford City Bowling Club will be the place to be. Come play barefoot bowls at Gosford City Bowling Club. All games include bowls and set up. Our friendly, fantastic and helpful members are there if you need tuition or just a pointer or two. Barefoot Bowls is the new exciting and enjoyable way to play bowls. You can play for work functions, team building exercises, a competition, birthdays, weddings, group get to gathers or just a causal day out. You are all welcome to just have a go. You don't know you may even love it and come back. We provide a BBQ area so bring your own meals and cook on the BBQ, we provide the gas. $10 a head just come give Lawn Bowls a go. Come Join Us!

In the beginning................ Early in 1930’s during the Great Depression efforts were made to have a bowling club at Gosford and despite early disappointment it became a reality when in 1937 the State Government made available a grant for relief of unemployment. The grant was allocated for the construction of a bowling green, clubhouse, tennis courts and grandstand at Grahame Park. It also assisted in reclaiming low lying areas adjacent to the waterfront. Gosford council completed all the work before the grant was exhausted. The official opening was performed by State Minister Hon Eric Spooner, MLA in September 1939 with the foundation officials being John Tooby President, E G ‘Ted” Buchan Secretary and Arthur Sterland Treasurer.
